Why was it created?
The world is becoming increasingly interconnected, while remaining culturally, religiously, and socially diverse. Yet humanity's fundamental questions return again and again: about human beings, community, responsibility, justice, nature, and the future. Rule & Wisdom was created so that we may learn to read the knowledge worlds of different civilizations side by side rather than in place of one another. We do not view differences as obstacles: understanding another tradition can also sharpen our own questions and answers.
What are we building?
We are building a collaborative research infrastructure. In the Rule & Wisdom 0.2 system, we examine each knowledge element for its source, historical context, interpretation, cultural parallels and differences, and its contemporary significance. We do not assume that all traditions say the same thing: we regard both similarities and differences as knowledge. A key application of this knowledge base is the training, guidance, and decision support for leaders, made available through the services of SDG Solutions.
What does the shared channel serve?
We are creating a multilingual, shared space of knowledge that spans civilizations. We explore where humanity's great traditions of thought converge and diverge, and what shared values can inspire more responsible action. We are not looking for identical answers, but building a shared space for inquiry — where differences foster understanding, connections yield shared values, and dialogue brings forth new and fuller answers. The goal is to keep this knowledge from remaining locked in archives: helping individuals, communities, and leaders think, decide, and act with greater responsibility.
A thought finds its way in an individual. In community, it becomes lasting.
